African Foods Food Bank has been operational since 2018, founded by Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society. In 2024, Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society, Canadian Black Farmers Association, and HeadHeartHand Foundation collaboratively formed African Foods, Food Bank as a non-profit organization to serve our community more effectively and reach more individuals and families in need.
Why Choose Us
Our approach to food security is unique as our food bank not only solves food security issues but also provides employment and work experience opportunities. This helps to create long lasting community sustainability.
Our Process
We locally grow a portion of what we serve our community. Our culturally preferred food produce goes directly into our food bank supplies.
